THE
11th ASIA PASIFIC LEAGUE of ASSOCITIONS FOR RHEUMATOLOGY
(APLAR)
Congress was held on
the beautiful island of Jeju, Korea, from September
11-15, 2004. About 1,500 delegates, mostly from the Asia
Pacific region, met to discuss a broad range of topics
in the musculoskeletal diseases. The program was
extremely well organised with keynote addresses,
parallel seminars and workshops, an allied health
professional symposium, and a clinical review course.
About 80 oral free papers were presented and more than
400 posters were in a well displayed area.
There was workshop has been conducted to discuss about

with rheumatoid arthritis who inadequately responded to
anti-TNFα therapies
Third large randomised trial to evaluate efficacy and
safety of MabThera in RA
Roche, Genentech and Biogen Idec announced today that
REFLEX1, a pivotal Phase III study of MabThera (rituximab), successfully met its
primary endpoint in the group of patients with the most difficult-to-treat
rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
